

Alva Gene Howard, aged 65, passed away on October 23, 2024, in Bradenton, FL. Born on May 8, 1959, in Brunswick, OH, Alva dedicated over 30 years of his life as a wholesale automotive parts salesman, a career marked by diligence and expertise.
A devout church and family man, Alva's deep faith was evident in his active participation in the Men’s Group at St. James Methodist Church for over 20 years, as well as in various other churches. His commitment to service was further demonstrated through his roles in the Boy Scouts of America, where he served as a Cub Scout Den Leader for 5 years and an Assistant Scoutmaster for more than a decade. Additionally, Alva was a passionate advocate for Heifer International.
Alva's vibrant personality, marked by his quick wit and generous spirit, made him beloved by many. An enthusiastic Disney fanatic and "Bigfoot" believer, his unique interests and humor brought joy and laughter to those around him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 37 years, Diana Howard; children, Phillip George Howard (Tasha) and Carolyn Ruth Ross (A.J.); cherished grandchildren, Jackson, Scout, and Koa Howard, Eleanor Ross and his brothers Larry Martin and Randy Howard of Bradenton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Ruth Howard and brothers, Lane Howard and Phillip Howard.
A Visitation will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 2, 2024, followed by the Funeral Service at 12 PM at Robert Toale & Sons Celebration of Life Center, located at 4310 Solutions Lane, Bradenton, FL 34211.
