

Born in Randolph, Vermont February 5, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Arretta (Jacobs) Luce. She was the fifth of seven children. She married her high school sweetheart, John Jay Izzo, of Bethel, Vermont, who was with her for 57 years to the end.
Dee worked in many roles, from Gardener Supply Company to Simmonds Precision. Her last job before retirement was as Manager of Customer Service at Vermont Teddy Bear Company. She was briefly lured out of retirement by her brother, Walter Luce, where she spent two and a half years in Desert Hot Springs, California as Head of Customer Service for his large-scale housing development company.
Dee was an avid golfer, danced every chance she got, and loved all children but what she loved most was spending time with friends and family. She made friends wherever she went, including in the grocery line or on an airplane.
Surviving family members include her husband, John Izzo of Bradenton, Florida; two daughters, Lynn Izzo and husband, James Gibbons of Hinesburg, Vermont and Jenney Izzo and husband, Brent Coulthard of Ripton, Vermont; and one grandchild, Rhys Thomas; two brothers, Walt Luce and wife Bonnie of Blanch, NC and Edward Luce and his wife Judy of Randoph, VT; one sister, Loretta Hutchinson of Randolph, VT; and many treasured nieces and nephews. Dee was predeceased by a brother, Henry Luce, and two sisters, Roberta Montgomery and Elaine Kellogg.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Robert Toale and Sons Celebration of Life Center, 4310 Solutions Ln, Bradenton, FL 34211 on Friday, January 17, 2025 starting at 1 p.m. A Vermont Celebration of Life will be held in June, date to be determined.
