Laya attended Williams Elementary and was homeschooled for her 6th grade year. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Laya liked to swim, cook and do arts and crafts. She enjoyed bike riding and gymnastics. Laya was one of the sweetest most loving little girls. She loved everyone! Laya also loved animals, especially her two doggies at home.
Besides her parents, Nick and Kimberly Gunther, she is also survived by her brother and sister, Christopher and Olivia; grandparents, Dean and Lesley Gunther and great grandparents, William Hatt, and Fred and LuAnn Clayton. She also leaves behind her aunts and uncles, Eric and Katie Hoying and Eddie and Jill Hurd; cousins, Lyndon Hoying, Josh, Dyland and Serenity Hurd. Laya was also a soon to be aunt to Grayson Webster. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Penny Hatt and great grandparents, Larry and Dorothy Gunther.
A Celebration of Laya's Life will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 1-4 pm at The Harrison Ranch Clubhouse 5755 Harrison Ranch Blvd., Parrish, FL 34219.
