Pamela S. Swanstrom, age 70, of 6765 Wild Lake Terrace, Bradenton, Fl. 34212 - formerly of Chester, NJ, Kalamazoo, MI, Wilton, CT and Leawood, KS - lost her long battle from multiple medical challenges on Monday, March 13, 2023.
She was born in Wichita, KS to the late Robert and Martha Pearce (Eldridge). Pam graduated from high school in Anthony, KS and received her BA degree in Psychology from Kansas University (KU). While at KU she was a member of Phi Beta Phi sorority and a cheerleader.
Pam participated and placed in numerous beauty pageants. She taught, performed and choreographed many dance and cheerleading routines. Also, she modeled for Hallmark, Levi's and other companies. All of which led to her becoming a manager for Barbizon modeling agency after college. Pam spent most of her professional career as a sales representative for Johnson & Johnson and multiple firms in the pharmaceutical and medical equipment field.
Pam loved to travel different places, especially to warm and sunny beaches at islands all over the Caribbean and Hawaii. Even though she didn't ski, she enjoyed going to Vermont after Christmas for many years. While living in Connecticut, she fell in love with going into New York City for Broadway plays, restaurants and all the sites. In New Jersey, she was heavily involved in Junior League and charities. Most of all, she liked being with old and new friends, and family, enjoying and experiencing all that life had to offer.
Pam was truly a vivacious woman - beautiful, smart, witty, adventurous and caring. She was a beloved wife, mother, aunt, daughter and sister that will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, David; daughter, Lane Swanstrom of Bradenton, FL; stepmother, Star Pearce of Wichita, KS; sisters, Becky Berka of Bradenton, Fl and Marla Sherry of Sarasota, Fl; and brother, Steve Pearce of Mason, OH.
A private service for the family will occur on April 8, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Living Lord Lutheran Church, 11107 Palmbush Trail, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202.
If you wish, you may send flowers or a memorial contribution in Pamela's honor to the American Cancer Society.
