

Dick was born in Mansfield, Ohio where he met and fell in love with Betty. He graduated from Madison Rural High School in 1944 after which he enlisted in the Marine Corps to serve his country in WWII in the Pacific Theatre.
After the war, Dick attended Ohio State University preparing himself for a career as an accountant with Standard Oil of California. After retiring, Dick and Betty moved to Sarasota where they owned and operated several beach motels until his second retirement.
Dick and Betty spent their lives together deeply in love and committed to each other and to their family. Dick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. He will be forever missed by his family and friends.
Dick is survived by his son Rick Bader (Janet) of Bradenton, daughter Debbie Dise (Chad) of Oklahoma, grandchildren Trey Sophy (Toni) of Oklahoma, Lori Simms (Keith) of Oklahoma, Casey Dise (Camille) of Oklahoma, David Dise (Chrissy) of Oklahoma, Christa Helfrey (Neal) of Oklahoma and five great grandchildren.
A memorial service honoring Dick’s life will be held at the Sarasota National Cemetery on March 9, 2023 at 10:30 AM.
