He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his wife and best friend of 26 years, Jackie, as well as by his extended family and many valued friends.
Born on September 24, 1942, in Maassluis, the Netherlands, to parents Gesina and Jan Boonekamp (deceased), and brother to Ari Moerman (deceased).
Drawn to the sea from a young age, Bram served proudly in the Dutch Merchant Marine, where his discipline and determination were forged early in life. In 1960, he immigrated to Toronto, Canada, to begin a new chapter and build a life rooted in hard work, adventure, and connection.
Bram built a long and successful career as a long-haul owner operator truck driver, taking great pride in his work and known for his reliability, independence, and commitment to his profession. He loved the freedom of the open road, the long stretches of highway, and the ever-changing sights that came with a life spent behind the wheel.
A lifelong lover of soccer, Bram enjoyed both watching and playing the game, often spending his Sundays on the field with his soccer buddies — giving every match his full effort and competitive spirit, and enjoying the laughter, shenanigans, and camaraderie that typically followed.
Outspoken and quick-witted, Bram had a sharp sense of humour and never hesitated to speak his mind. He approached life with confidence, purpose, and determination, facing his final days with the same courage and dignity that guided him throughout the years.
In keeping with Bram’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday November 15, 2025, 12:30 pm - 4:00 pm to honour his memory at:
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 609 - Bramalea, 1133 Queen Street East, Brampton, Ontario, L6T4E2 - Lower Level Clubhouse
Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and raise a glass to a life well lived.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Bram - forever loved, forever remembered - may his spirit rest in peace.
