It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Alasdair (AL) Ian Lochhead of Brampton Ontario on March 8th, 2023, in his 74th year, after a short battle with Lung cancer.
He is survived by his loving Wife Pat, and daughter Krista (Bryan) Grandfather (Papa) to Alexis and Lyam. Only son to the late George Alexander Lochhead and Margaret McKechnie Lochhead. Younger Brother to the late Ishbel, Sandra (Glenn), Myra, and Elspeth (Robin), and numerous nephews and nieces to mourn his loss.
Al was born in Greenock, Scotland on August 18, 1948. At the age of 17 he immigrated to Canada with his father George to join his 4 sisters. In his late 20’s Al studied paramedic services at Humber college. Where he later became, a paramedic servicing the Toronto and Brampton Peel region.
He was a Mason with Maple Leaf Masonic Lodge #600. His passions were his grandchildren, the game of golf, watching and going to Blue Jays games and travelling at least twice a year with his wife Pat.
Al was a gentle soul and a patient man; he lived an interesting life and was always happy to tell his stories to anyone who would listen.
He loved and was loved by so many people. Some called him Al, Alasdair, Dad, Papa and even Ally-pally or Ally-pax, and so many called him a friend.
He will be truly missed and always in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers donations in Memory of Al can be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
