  At a time like this of deep grief and loss, we cannot think of anything better than the above divine biblical encouragement. Alex has gone to be with the Lord but his legacy lives on. Rest in peace, Alex. We love and miss you but God loves you more. We admire your faith and love for God, our Father and how you worshipped, praised and glorified Him through Jesus Christ.  We will miss your presence, thoughtfulness, generosity and giving spirit to God's work. Your interest and involvement in the Church garden project, organizing the World day of prayer, the use of your home for our Men's  Ministry and the hearty breakfast you and Jackie prepared for us. Also, we recall the fun times we had during the Christmas play when you appeared as the pleasant Santa Claus. You've fought the good fight, Alex, you've finished the race. Hear the Master say " Well done, good and faithful servant, come and take your rest."
Thank you Jackie for all your help and support for Alex. May God comfort you during this major storm in your life . We pray that you will continue to feel the presence of God's Holy Spirit in your life and may his blessing and peace be with you, always.

Just a year ago Sandy and Jackie were in Victoria for their extended winter visit . The last time we were  together in person was a pleasant  late winter day in February  when we visited the Victoria Butterfly Gardens together, stopped for lunch at the Roost Farm Bakery, and then drove back  home via the scenic long route through farmland   on West Saanich Road . It was just one of many happy times we have had together over the years. It is still hard for us to believe that Sandy is no longer with us on this earth. He was always so vital and adventuresome. We will always remember him in our hearts.

Our love and prayers are especially with you Jackie and family at this time as you grieve and miss your precious husband, Dad, and Grandpa.  We were all so blessed to have him in our family.  He was a very special treasure from Heaven given to us for a short time until we can all be together again.  We will never forget the wonderful times we shared together throughout the years.
We were blessed to have Sandy and Jackie park their trailer in our meadow at the acreage.  They usually came in the spring and spring weather in Alberta is a little more unpredictable than Ontario weather.  However one night , we had a foot of snow and had to shovel a path to the trailer and take them some winter boots and put a  decorated Christmas tree on their deck!!
We enjoyed many trips together throughout the years to Boston, touring New York City,  and enjoying Mexico together.  Your are going to be deeply missed .  Sandy, be sure and check out all the best places in Heaven to visit so when we arrive, you can be our tour guide!!  We love you all so very much!!

Alex will be missed by many.  He was such a loving, caring, kind and gentle person. I am so happy to know him. Jackie and family, we all extend our deepest sympathies God be with you and the family especially during this time and always.

My memories of my uncle are so many there isn't a box in the world that can even fill them.  Ever since I was a young child he was like a father to me and more so a friend. We talk about anything and everything.  We laugh together by either sharing a funny story or experience or by simply doing some impersonation of some well known figure. We talk hours about different conspiracies and either enbracing them or discrediting them. We often share same political views trying to solve or find the right answer only to realize in the end the World will always be what it is but still made  a good conversation. We shared the same passion for travel and often compare notes  of the different experiences we had abroad. Everytime I went to visit uncle Sandy he was always up for an adventure whether it be some fast ride as a child, going to a  caribana parade and watching the reaction on some older person's  face, showing many of historical sites, or simply embracing another culture by going to a Russisn banya or trying some new  cousine out.  The tears in the last week are deeper than a ocean as a great  man is gone. At the same time we celebrate my uncle's life. A man who always cared for others. Today his pain and suffering is  gone as he celebrates a new enternal life in heaven with  all those who went before him whether it be my grandmother, his sister/my aunt, his mother in law, and the many others where they are reuniteď.  We will  forever miss you uncle  but look forward one day to see you again where a thing like death wont get in the way.  

My dearest aunt Jackie, my cousin Christina, Matt, and all your children and grandchildren  I know how much sadness I feel but I only  imagine youŕ  sadness is all the more real. Our hearts go to  you  in the past week and we send you our hugs and love. Darren, Olga, Kaitlyn, Nikita and our fur baby Lily( whom you never met. Haha)

Please accept my heart felt condolences on your sad loss. The world has lost a decent, caring , gentleman . His loss to our community is irreplaceable. Ran a good race, Life Well  lived Alex and you will be sadly missed by many.Good bye Dear friend.

Dear Jackie, Christina and family, Norman, Louisa, Trudy, George & Chuck,
Please accept my sincere and deepest sympathy on the passing of dear Sandy, as he was to me. Memories flood my mind of growing up together as cousins in southern Alberta, our families visiting back and forth. As adults we went our separate ways and were able to reconnect in recent years. What a joy it was to share visits together and appreciate his laughter, humour and that smile that would light up a room. Any time spent with Sandy and Jackie was special. His passion was sharing his love for God and he wanted everyone to know the peace that Jesus came to bring. He is now in Heaven with the Lord he loved and served, waiting for the rest of us to join him one day. What a reunion that will be!

Alex was a precious friend to many of us. He was a joyful Christian, such an encouragement to many.  He made a great contribution to the men's ministry of Bramalea Free Methodist Church.  He also worked with Bramalea Baptist men as we formed a men's singing group to sing at a nursing home in Brampton. Jackie and family, we extend to you our deepest sympathies, but also confidence that the grace of the Lord will sustain you. To Our Dear Sister In Law, Jackie, more like a sister and niece Christina!! You were such a loving wife (Jackie) that helped your dear husband Alex to the end and you fought a great fight too and we knew God gave you strength that you needed!! Christina you were there by your moms side which  was so great!! You both need lots of prayers and support at this time!! We are  praying daily for you and your family!! You are both very special!! We have always enjoyed our fun and great times with you as well on our trips to see you!! The trip out west last year with you both was great(Alex and Jackie)!! We had a wonderful time!! This is a tribute to my dear brother, Alex, from your sister, Trudy and brother in law, Ron!  Dear brother you were more than  a brother (sibling) but a true friend in every aspect!!  Our fond memories of you are  many!! You had a true heart of gold!! You were kind, caring, loving, showing interest in us and others at all times!! You were a great pleasure to chat with as we had many for sure!! We would remanence about many things and shared  many conversations on spiritual things and prayed together which we loved!! You had a beaming smile that lasted a mile and a contagious laugh that would get us all laughing with your wonderful sense of humor!! You fought a great fight and were so upbeat through your journey!!  That is what carried you through and all the prayers for you as we wanted you to stay with us!! We miss you so much as our tears come down but we know you are rejoicing with our Dear Lord and Savior and out of your pain and  suffering and couldn't be happier!! My Father, there is too many memories to share and not enough space to express what he meant to me. Our lives will never be the same without him but we will still include his name in everything we do. Here's a picture collage below of his favorite people in his life. Alex was a coworker.  He was such a kind person , greeting you with a contagious smile and a sense of humour that helped to brighten your day. 
On a personal note , Please allow me to share one of my daughter’s first pictures with Santa from the 2016 LMI/Nulogx Christmas party. It was a brief, but special moment. The joy he shared with me at that time, would have been just a fraction of what he had with his loved ones and your growing family.  You were truly blessed.

Alex and his family came to live in Professor Lake many years ago and took up residence right across the street from us. We became good friends and neighbors from the first day we met Soon after we met although we worshiped at different churches he joined our Small Group Bible study and became one of our most beloved brother and committed contributor in every aspect of the group. My wife and I will miss him dearly especially when we travelling Alex would volunteer to look after our mail and home so we had nothing to worry about while we were away
Now he is safe in his father's arms free from pain and any earthly worries

Phew! To all of you viewing Alex [Sandy ] memorial, i am his younger brother Chuck [Charlie].On this New Years's Eve i want to say some heartfelt  kind words and memories about my brother but i must admit i am feeling devastated by his loss.So i will do my best to say a few words in memory of my brother.I first want to thank my sister-in -law and Sandy's wife Jackie for being a loving wife to my brother through all these years.I have many fond memories of both of them when they lived out here in Calgary  for aprox.3 years many years ago and the fun i had with them both while i was helping them move back to Toronto.I have so many great memories of my brother Alex from our early years as siblings growing up together to the present.Through the years many miles separated us unfortunately but we made up for it in lenghty phone chats.I always looked forward to my brother Mackie as i would call Sandy calling me monthly.His kindness and encouraging words inspired me through some of my most difficult times in my life.I have fond memories of our discussions ranging from politics to bible prophecy.I remember us laughing together when we would say we never solved all the world's problems tonight but we got a good start on it anyways! I also have fond memories of his little visit's out west with Louisa and a year ago with Jackie.I will try and upload a photo or two of one of those visit's out west.So in closing i want to say you are sadly missed brother and forever in my heart!

Alex a true blessing not only to family but many friends.   A man of great wisdom and integrity.   Had a million dollar smile.  Loved to hear his stories.  One thing i will always remember about Alex was his loving Caring side not only for his beautiful wife jackie but his lovely daughter Christina and how he cherished his grandchildren and his other family members.   Alex always took interest in other peoples lives. He was a great listener and always lending good advice when needed.  The lord was his shephard and guided him thru his journey battling many obstacles but bever giving up till the end.  He was a warrior on his own terms. .  i often said he would have been a good preacher as ge just had a gentle way about himself.    Alex rest in peace.  We all love you and will never forget you.
