Anthony Sebastian Fernandes

We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved Anthony (Tony) Fernandes on Friday, September 25, 2026. Born in Tanga, Tanzania, Tony lived there until he moved to Canada in 1989 with his wife and daughter and resided in Brampton, Ontario. Tony was a devoted husband to Fatema and a caring father to Sameena. His family was the most important part of his life. He took great pride in being there for them and sharing many special moments together. He touched the lives of many people through his warmth, friendship, and caring nature. His memories, his laughter, and the love he gave will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever. He will be deeply missed but his love and memory will always live on.

Tony is survived by his wife Fatema and daughter Sameena. He was the son of the late Manuel Caetano and late Angela Fernandes. He was a caring brother to the late Isabella (late Ben) D’Sa, Delphine (late Anthony) Carneiro, Vincent (late Fidela), Lourdina (late Berty) Carvalho, Joseph (Yolanda), Agnelo, Fr. Leo, Antoinette, Lazarina (Walter), brother-in-law to Hassan (Soraiya) Raniwalla, the late Oni (Rashida) Raniwalla, and a loving uncle to nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
