Barb was the beloved wife of Donald MacMillan, her partner of 62 years following their first date when they were 14 and 17 years of age.
She was a devoted mother to Deborah and Darryl (Dianne), proud grandmother to Riley, Julia, Liam, and her grand puppy Brewster, and is survived by her sister Patricia Czata.
A familiar and welcoming pillar at the Bramalea City Centre Metro (formerly Miracle Food Mart, Ultra, and A&P) until her retirement in 2015, Barb guided four generations of local shoppers through her line, earning a devoted group of regulars who would wait just to check out with her.
A viewing will be held for immediate family members only, and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Barb’s memory to the Canadian Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.
