Barbara Jean Richards

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara Jean Mary Robinette Richards, beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Mother-in-Law & Aunt, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 6th, 2025, at the age of 88.

Born on August 18th, 1937, in Toronto, Ontario. Barb lived a life defined by spark, energy, and spirit to those she loved. She married Norman Richards on January 18, 1958. Together they built a home filled with laughter, warmth, strength and love.

Barb had a gift for making everyone feel loved and welcomed, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, friends and traveling, who all will forever cherish the countless memories and love she brought to us.

She was preceded in death by her husband Norman Richards & son Michael Richards.

She is survived by her loving children, Daughter in law (Debbie), Brian (Elaine) & Kevin (Michele). Her cherished grandchildren Matthew (Harley), Shawn (Ashley), Dianne (Will), Devyn (Geoff), Emily (Caleb), Jennifer (Jeremie), Jeffrey and her adored great grandchildren Leo, Parker, Brynlee, Lily, Clark and Everett.

A celebration of life for Barbara has been scheduled on Sunday January 11th from 11am to 1pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 609. 1133 Queen St E, Brampton, ON, L6T 4E2.

Her love, laughter, and vibrant personality will continue to guide us every day. Though she has left our sight, she will never leave our hearts.
