To My Darling Bessie
“Aye Fond Kiss”
A ‘ Fond Kiss” and then we sever,
Aye last farewell,
Then gone forever.
Had we never met
Had we never parted.
I’d ne’r have been sae broken hear’td
Our live, like the snow flakes on the river
Stayed a moment white, then gone forever!
Here in warrin sighs, I pledge thee,
My love for you will never leave me!
“ Aye Fond Kiss”
My Bonnie Bessie,
“Aye Yours”
John
