Passed away suddenly in his 90th year, Charlie will be greatly missed by his sons Russell (Janice), Brian (Sharon), and his grandchildren, Casey, Graham, Amanda and Ashley, as well as his sister Isa, of Scotland. He is predeceased by his brother Jack (Nancy) of Scotland and George (Helen) of Mississauga as well as his parents , George and Isabella. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on February 8, 1931, Charlie immigrated to Canada with his loving wife, Catherine in 1956. They later had two sons and settled in Mississauga where he worked as a property manager and at the Toronto Island Airport in his later years. When Catherine passed away in 1985, a few years later Charlie met Noreen Cole (deceased) of Brampton, and enjoyed a long and loving relationship with her and her family. Many thanks to the devoted staff of Simcoe Terrace in Barrie for their care and support over the years. He will be lovingly remembered by everyone for his constant smile, his sense of humour, his many stories and his Scottish slang! In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Charles Cunningham may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada.

Rest in peace Charlie, you will be forever in our hearts.

Charlie spent a lot of time with our family- especially at the cottage! He even suggested we call our oldest son "Finnbar" as it was a name you didn't hear to often. LOL

We had good laughs, lots of bag pipe music (thanks to my Dad Dick Moore) and lots of good food (thanks to my Mum Esther Moore- Noreen's sister) and lots of fun with Charlie and Aunty Noreen. I think Charlie enjoyed the McGillycuddy large and chaotic family, with aunts and uncles& cousins arriving off planes from overseas on a regular basis. He just sat back and smiled and took it all in- even when an English man was playing the Bagpipes for him!

So happy to have great memories of this man!!!

Tricia Moore(Noreeen's niece)- and on behalf of my Mum, Esther Moore, and my own family now living in Arkansas, Vince , Declan (thankfully not Finnbar), Emmet and Clare Brick.

My mum ( Charlie’s sister) and all the family send their heartfelt sympathies to you all. We have fond memories of uncle Charlie. The stories my mother relayed to us about when they were growing up in Glasgow are fantastic
My mum, Charlie , brothers George and Jack all share the same infectious smile. The Glasgow humour and the Scottish love for family. I hope you all take comfort in your memories of our dear Uncle Charlie.
Rest in peace
Our love and healing thoughts to you all.
