A devoted family man, Donald is survived by his wife Catherine, his children, Cindy, Tara, Tammy, Tricia, Jeff, Brandy, Mike, Aaron and Saibal and his grandchildren, Jessica, Jodi, Megan, Alysha, Kayla, Noah, Hannah, Isaac, Sam, Keya, Nicholas and Rachel. Beloved son of Ross and brother of Marlene, Suzanne, Nancy, Ted and Daniel and brother-in-law of Audie, Frank, Linda, Ann, Leo, Jim and Lois, Don will be forever loved and missed by family and friends.
Don’t think of him as gone away, his journey has just begun
Life holds so many facets and this earth is only one
Just know that he is resting from the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort where there is no pain or fear
And know he must be wishing that we could know today
How nothing but our sadness can really pass away
And believe that he is living in the hearts of those he touched
For nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so very much.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Don’s life on Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 2-6pm at the Royal Canadian Legion at 111 Hunt Street in Ajax, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
