Thoughts and prayers today to my family in Canada who lost their dad, brother, grandpa and uncle.  Wish I could be there in person but know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.  James, Ian and Edward be happy your mum and dad are once again together.  Love to all!

Uncle Eddie,
I remember the days of Gleddoch Road when the entire Davis clan submerged on a Sunday afternoon at Granny and Granda's house. Granda would take all the cousins (hundreds of us) into the front room and tell us a story about how the white tide man didn't like the omo man, he could hold our attention. Aahh, the memories. You're vitrant once again, wits about you and laughing up a storm with Aunty Sadie, Aunty Peggy, Aunty Helen, Granny and Grandpa and of course Mum and Dad (sorry about that, I know you know what I mean). Life is good Uncle Eddie and so is heaven. I'll see you someday.

One of nicest blokes I have ever had the privalage to meet. It was always good times when you came to visit and memories I will not forget.

Thank you for so many wonderful memories and your kind, warm support during our "impressionable years". Thank you for your amazing sense of humour, firm hand shake and on so many occasions making your home feel like my home. Dad, I've had a couple of days to reflect and think about how much you meant to me. You were always supportive and positive allowing me the freedom to make life's choices. Your sense of humour and knack to make those around you laugh and feel comfortable was unmatched. I can only hope that I  can be the type of father to my girls as you were to me. My uncle Eddie (Chuckles) was not only a gentleman but a gentle man with a fantastic sense of humour and made the best fry-up on Sunday mornings after the night before! He also made playing the piano on a tabletop into an "artform"! I feel blessed and proud to have had you as a part of my life and I will miss you.  Sadly due to distance I didn't get to spend much time with you but my memories of you will stay with me always. You and Sadie will be singing together again and will be in the company of some very special people who touched the lives of those who are left behind. Sleep well.

You and Sadie are at the heart of many fond memories. New Years Days, countless parties, with steak pie always an arms reach away.  A place where we felt safe to be teenagers, exploring what was to come. We felt your presence deeply this passing New Years, as we gathered again rifling through old photos, being comforted by pictures taken in your home and one of you both smooching. It was a gathering long overdue, but ever so timely. Normy aptly said, "it felt like home again" - one we all remember dearly.  Mr. Davis you will be missed and our memories of you will ensure we - Live. Love. Laugh.

I remember one time, Natalie was very young and she painted your fingernails with lip gloss instead of nail polish, but you went along with it. Those are the memories I will cherish forever.

Eddie was my big brother and friend. I will always cherish the great times we had together. Eddie and Sadie were definitely a match made in heaven. They can rest in eternity together. I will always love him and miss him. Memories will never fade.

I have always thought of Sadie and Mr. Davis as my second Mum and Dad.  They invited me into their house and their lives leaving me with loving memories of comfort and welcome. I am proud to have known them and will love them always.  To Ed, James and Ian I would say 'you are some of the luckiest people I know.' Live Love Laugh.

Uncle Eddie,

You have left us now, but you have left us, me especially with some wonderful memories.  When I saw you last year with my boys, you still had the same wit and charm you always did.  I still laugh today, when you asked me if I would take you to Vegas to see your brother, when I said I would you asked me if I would pay your fare, I said I would!   This is just one of so many examples of times you made me laugh. I could go on and on, knuckle sandwich!  Although I didn't follow through on that trip, I am happy you get to see your brother and sisters again and more important you can be with your beautiful wife Sadie again for eternity!  

We miss miss you Uncle Eddie, thank you for being a part of my life and for leaving me with memories I can look back on and laugh at and smile!
