It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden, peaceful passing of Elizabeth on Saturday September 28, 2013 in her 71st year. She is reunited with her loving husband Robert and her brothers James, Alexander and Neil (Rita) and her parents, Neil Bell Stafford and Elizabeth Maxwell Shaw Stafford. Elizabeth was a proud mother to Lynda (Javier) and Arlene and adoring Grandmother to Julianna and Logan. Elizabeth is also survived by her big brother John (Ann) and sisters in law Jean and Jean. She was lovingly known as Aunt Betty to many family members across Canada, in Scotland and South Africa and will be sadly missed by her extensive group of family members and friends. Elizabeth is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #609 and the Bramalea Rangers Supporters Club and was proud to have been a Leader of the Life Boys at the West Church of Johnstone, Scotland. Visitation will be held at the Andrews Community Funeral Centre (8190 Dixie Road Brampton (905) 456 8190) on Thursday October 3, 2013 from 6-9pm and on Friday October 4, 2013 from 12 -1pm with a Funeral Service to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
