Born in Antigonish, N.S., he was the son of the late Joseph Francis Broussard and the late Rachael Rosalina (Benoit) Broussard.
Eric was a truck driver for most of his career, and he enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles, having learned from his father who was a mechanic. He loved watching Paige and Brooke play hockey as they were growing up, always with a Tim Horton's coffee in hand.
He is survived by daughters Paige (Angus) and Brooke (Toronto); partner Francie and her daughters Emalee and Ariyah, siblings Joan (Toronto) and Michael (Pomquet, N.S.); several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A cremation has taken place.
