

Born on November 19th, 1954 to June and Tony Ferro in Bahrain, Godfrey was the eldest of 3 children, and he spent his early life being raised by his Avo in Margao, Goa, India. He was then put into St. Paul's boarding school in Belgaum, where he spent his days learning, playing sports, making lifelong friends, sneaking out of school to cause mischief, and getting his head shaved when he got caught for sneaking out. He then completed his Business Commerce degree in Belgaum before heading to London, England to finish off his education.
Once done school he came back home to Bahrain where he met his better half, Joan. They wed in 1983 and spent the first few years of their marriage travelling the world before emigrating to Canada in 1990. Godfrey then spent the next 35 years working hard to support his family and friends, while making memories that would last a lifetime.
A loving father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend, Godfrey will be remembered for his helpfulness, generosity, humour, and profound silliness. He found joy in fishing, rock music & concerts, little gadgets, pets/furry companions, friends, and family.
Godfrey was predeceased by his Avo (Zolmira Rodrigues) and his parents (Juvenila and Anthony Ferro). He will be lovingly remembered by his wife (Joan Ferro), his daughter (Vanessa Ferro), her partner (Miles Finlayson), sister (Loretta DaCosta), brother-in-law (Everton Dacosta), nephew/godchild (Dean DaCosta), his wife (Zo DaCosta), grand-niece (Evie DaCosta), niece (Rebecca DaCosta), brother (Rupert Ferro), sister-in-law (Dina Ferro), niece (Janice Ferro), sister-in-law (Jennifer Lee), husband (Rob Harding), niece/godchild (Natasha Lee), nephew (Stefan Lee), and his husband (Zachary Palamarchuk).
His love, laughter, and memories will remain in the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
