It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Gustavo De Melo, on November 20, 2025, at home, in Brampton Ontario, with family by his side, at the age of 69. Beloving husband to Margaret Miedema for 40 wonderful years. Loving father to Daniel De Melo. He will be fondly remembered by his cousins, nephews, nieces, friends and neighbors.
He was born on February 11, 1956, in Sangalhos, Portugal, to the late Gustavo and Esmeraldina De Melo.
Gustavo was a lifelong fan of soccer, especially Sporting CP of Portugal and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.
The family invites relatives and friends to share their memories of Gustavo during visitation, held at the Andrews Community Funeral Centre on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 1pm-3pm. Funeral service will be the same day at 3pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Reception with light refreshments to follow.
