It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hazel Gilmore Jarratt in Brampton, Ontario at the age of 90. She is now reunited with her parents John and Evelyn; siblings Eunice and Elizabeth (Betty); granddaughter Milan and son-in-law Philp. Hazel was a devoted partner and wife to Charles Jarratt for 67 years. A loving mother to Greg and Sharyn. Beloved by her grandchildren Delano and Charlie. Cherished by her daughter in-law Jacqueline. Many knew Hazel as a strong Irish woman from Lisburn who moved to Canada when she was 18. She loved to read, wear pink lipstick, have teatime, and watch murder she wrote. She was a master in the kitchen and an exceptional gardener who loved pulling weeds in her backyard, always keeping her body moving unless she was sitting in her favorite chair with a glass of wine. She never travelled alone unless it meant taking a 7hr train ride to babysit her grand-dogs Machia and Miss Coco, who will be by her side on this new journey.
All of Hazel’s family and friends are invited to attend the celebration of life gathering at the Andrews Community Funeral Centre – Bramalea Chapel (8190 Dixie Rd, Brampton, ON L6T 5N9) Monday, August 31st from 1 to 3pm.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Milan's Miracle Fund www.milansmiraclefund.org.
