Irene was my mother and I have a funny story one day my dad opened his lunch at work and started chewing and he stopped to look mom had forgotten to take the wrapping off of the cheese and she was sewing and reaching for the neddle she usally stuck in the couch and said to me Ken have you seen the neddle and looking at her I said mom it’s between your dentures

Aunt Irene my fondest memory of you is when my brothers and I stayed with you when our Grandmother died.  Your mom was with us and we went on a bus trip to town.  When we got back my Nanny fell off the bus and her glasses were all crooked and mudded. My brothers and I did not know what to do and you came out with one hardy laugh and then we all laugh even Nanny.  That made everyone's day.  We loved you in life and hope that you are with Uncle Jack, Nanny and our Dad.  Brenda Burgess

Rest now Irene you are with your beloved Jack.  You are not suffering any longer, God bless  you. I have only known you for 2 short years but it was nice to have known you and I will miss you. I miss taking you to bingo.

Rest in peace, dear Aunt Irene. One of my fond memories of Irene when I was a kid.... our family visited her and Uncle Jack, and she made chocolate cupcakes for us. This made us feel special! She had a great sense of humour too.
