

Marion was surrounded by her loving family, she peacefully passed away on August 20th, 2025. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years John Goegan, her parents Roy and Mary McConnell, her brothers Alex and John McConnell.
Loving mother to Douglas deceased (Louise), Deborah (Brad, deceased) Tom, Susan (Bill) and Sandra (Brian). Wonderful aunt to Colleen, Karen, Beth (Dan) and nephew Kevin (Tracey). She is also survived by her sister-in-law Doris McConnell. Marion found great joy in her 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
As a nurse, Marion touched many lives. She was a very kind and giving person and as a result had many friends. Marion took numerous courses to advance her nursing career.
During her lifetime she donated to a number of different charities, but she was a foster parent with the international foster parent plan for over 40 years. Marion also volunteered with the Children’s Aid Society.
Her legacy will live on in our hearts and memories forever and she will be dearly missed by all.
The family of Marion would like to thank the many dedicated Doctors and nurses who took this last journey with her. They would especially like to thank the staff of Ian Anderson Hospice for their exceptional compassion and care during her final days.
Memorial visitation will take place on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 11am to 12 pm at Andrews Community Funeral Centre, 8190 Dixie Rd. Brampton, Ontario. Funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 12pm in the chapel of the funeral home. A reception will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers donations in Marions memory may be made to Ian Anderson House Hospice in Oakville, ON.
