Raul Prudencio Quintana

Así comienza la biografía de la vida de Raúl Prudencio Quintana Luzón, quien nació el 28 de Abril de 1947 en Las Tejerías, estado Aragua, Venezuela; hijo de Laura Luzón Ribas de Quintana y Jesús Quintana, quienes tuvieron 8 hermosos hijos, sus bellas hermanas, Amelys Quintana, Mayle Quintana (fallecida en el 2019), Leyda Quintana, Edda Quintana y Mirna Quintana; sus queridos hermanos Jesús Quintana y Oswaldo Quintana; segundo de ocho hijos de aquel matrimonio. Casado con Gisela Isabel Mendoza de Quintana y de ahí nacieron tres hermosos hijos (hermosos, porque quienes son padres, comprenden la naturaleza perfecta de Dios a través de los hijos y la entrega incondicional que se les dedica desde su nacimiento, e incluso hasta ya adultos, no dejan de ser la prioridad en el amor familiar), Carolina Isabel Quintana Mendoza (fallecida en el 2012), Karina Elizabeth Quintana Mendoza y Raúl Enrique Quintana Mendoza.

Carolina, Karina y Raúl Junior lo acompañaron en sus inicios como padre, aflorando cualidades que ni el mismo sabía tener, sobre todo, padre consentidor y protector. Responsable con su hogar, sin que faltase nada para su familia.

Raúl fue un hombre alegre, en el argot venezolano, era rochelero, le gustaba cantar y bailar como cantinflas y por supuesto, con unos tragos en la cabeza, era el mejor, la sensación de la fiesta!!!. Sus sobrinos lo querían mucho y lo querían tanto, que lo consideraban como un padre ante escenarios que lo ameritaban: por poner un ejemplo, era tan solidario con los demás, que lo que tenia en su bolsillo, era de todo aquel que lo necesitara. Le encantaba compartir con las amistades, hacer parrilladas y todo aquel que podía, salía con una botella de whisky de su casa y si la situación estaba muy difícil, aunque sea una de caña blanca.

Su hobby era ver películas de vaquero, ni hablar de las películas protagonizadas con Clint Eastwood, le gustaba también ver las películas de Cantinflas, Pedro Infante, además le encantaba escuchar y tararear música y baladas de Frank Sinatra, José José, Julio Iglesias, Rafael y sin dejar de nombrar las canciones alegres de La Billos Caracas Boy, Los melódicos, entre otros…

Fanático del béisbol venezolano y no se perdía un juego de su equipo los Leones del Caracas y ni hablar, de un Caracas - Magallanes.

Se le recordará siempre, con virtudes y defectos, pero con la alegría de sus mejores años de vitalidad, además el proveedor de todos, generoso, buen padre, buen tío, buen amigo y echador de bromas…

Y su frase peculiar “También que Íbamos”

Celebrating a Life – In loving memory of Raul Prudencio Quintana who has returned to rest peacefully in eternity and paradise with the Lord. Our beloved Father, Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, Mentor and friend has passed away on August 5th, 2020 at the age of 73. He was born on April 28, 1943 in his beloved home of Venezuela to the late Jesus Quintana and Laura Luzon de Quintana and the husband of the loving, sweet and caring Gisela Mendoza de Quintana. He leaves behind his daughter Karina Elizabeth Quintana, his son Raul Enrique Quintana, and the memory of his first born and beloved daughter Carolina Isabel Quintana who passed away in 2012, though it gives us great comfort to know that they have reunited together in heaven with Our Lord Jesus. Our beloved Father and Grandfather Raul Quintana also leaves behind his granddaughter Melanie Quintana (daughter of Raul E. Quintana). The late Raul Quintana also leaves behind his beloved sisters Amely Quintana, Maile Quintana (deceased), Leyda Quintana, Eda Quintana and Mirna Quintana as well as his loving brothers Jesus Quintana and Oswaldo Quintana.

His focus in life was to raise his beloved daughters and son to be the best people they could become while working hard to support, provide and stand by them and his loving, cherished wife Gisela. He was also fondly known to be a constant rock and a figure of Love, Laughter and support for many of his beloved nieces and nephews who he will greatly miss and always watch over.

He will be remembered as a caring, loving, affectionate, kind, funny and compassionate person who had unconditional love, dedication and commitment to his Family throughout all the times they shared together. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but especially by those whose hearts he truly touched.

A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of Andrews Community Funeral Centre on Wednesday,

August 12, 2020 at 11am. Visitation 1 hour prior to service (*Restriction). Interment at Meadowvale
