

Robert is survived by Judith (Judy) Standen-Migdal, his wife, and best friend; his parents Edward and Henrietta Migdal; his brother Allen Migdal; his brother Christopher Migdal and family; adopted daughter/niece Alexandra Longpre and grandchildren Rowan, Quinn, Hazel. Robert was a beloved Uncle and Great Uncle to fifteen nieces and nephews in Calgary and California.
Robert was born in Montreal, and studied Education at McGill University, before moving to Ontario 24 years ago to marry Judy. Graduated with honours from Algonquin College in Electronics Engineering Technology in 2003. In 1990’s worked at Raymonds Jeep Eagle which fueled his passion for classic cars. Robert was an avid Sci-Fi fan and enjoyed attending the Polaris and Fan-Expo conventions.
He worked in the Public Services; was a member of the North Bay Masonic Lodge and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 609.
Robert joined the Cadet Instructor Cadre in 1989. Having spent time with the Royal Canadian Air Cadet Corp 796 Lasalle, and the Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corp 1979 Canadian Grenadier Guards. Robert also spent time with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Falkland and Brilliant before joining Illustrious, where he worked his way up to become the Commanding Officer. A post he held until his passing. His unit RCSCC Illustrious will miss him.
