Born on May 11, 1946, in Port Antonio, Jamaica, Ruby led a life filled with love, laughter, and purpose. She was the daughter of Ivy and Maxwell Shepherd, and her early years were marked by the upbringing of strong parents who made her the woman she was.
Ruby, attended Marlborough Primary School, then Richmond Secondary School, where she was awarded Jamaica’s certificates in the first, second, and third-year examinations.
