Dear Michael, Colin & family,

Our heart goes out to you with the loss of your mom and long-time partner. In October 2015, we bought a home in Briar Creek, a 55+ deeded community. We didn't know what to expect, we were "the newbies." Our fears were calmed during our first BC " happy hour" when Sophie, Colin and Michael, among others, welcomed us to our new community. Sophie's genuine smile and warmth assured us that we were at the right place.
With deepest sympathy,
Fred and Carol Michaelis

I just finished looking at all the pictures, and in each of them Sophie had a huge smile. That will be how I remember her at Briar Creek, always smiling. Pete and I send our sincere sympathy to all of her family. RIP dear Sophie!

At Auntie Sophie's house, your stomach was always full and your drink never seemed to empty. Stay for just one more glass of wine, she always insisted, no matter what time it was (or how much we had both had to drink). Whether it was your first time visiting or your one hundred and first, she made everyone feel welcome and like you were part of the family. She was the ultimate matriarch, embodying what it meant to be both warm and caring, and tough as nails at the same time. She brought everyone together, in good times and bad...sometimes really bad. She showed me just how strong women can be despite everything and just how important family is, no matter what the circumstances. She listened, helped, laughed, and cried with so many of us. And she gave the best hugs, eyes always twinkling with so much love. I will miss you, Auntie, and I will always carry your memory in a special place in my heart.

I have only known a handful of people who have smiles so genuine and bright they light up a room. Now together, Momma B and Patti are making heaven a whole bunch brighter...❤️❤️ RIP

Your Mom could be stubborn at times, but I will always remember her as having a wonderful, happy and open heart. And a fun look at life. She was a great lady and one of my fondest memories was watching her competitive side explode out when we played Rummoli!!! "7-8-9" Hilarious!!

You will be missed Sophie.

Mary, Mike, Pete, Joe ... my deepest sympathies.

Mike , Cindy & family, and Colin,
Words cannot tell how I feel, Sophie was my friend, confidante, and bingo buddy! We talked, and laughed a lot. Such a joy to be around. I missed her last year in Florida, now will miss her always. Loved that woman. Know that my heart is with you all at this time. Most sincere sympathy is with you these next few days
