Born in Guyana, daughter to her loving parents Cecil Brodie Moore and Muriel Proffitt. Sybil was the eldest of nine children.
Cherished sister to Coreen, Megan, Sandra, June, Cecil, Matthew and predeceased by Conrad and Joyce.
Beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews. Sybil’s family spans from Guyana, Trinidad, England, USA and Canada.
Over her 35 year career as a Registered Nurse, Sybil dedicated her life to healing and compassion, touching countless lives with love and genuine care. From Guyana she travelled to England for her nursing education and immigrated to Canada living in Winnipeg for 15 years and eventually settling in Toronto where she continued nursing up until retirement.
Sybil enjoyed travelling, loved the theatre and going out for dinner. She also tried her luck at the casino. Sybil was also a devout catholic who read the bible and listened to mass daily. Sybil made good friends within her condo building where she resided the last four years. She will be truly missed.
