    A search on my computer brought up this Durish obituary.
   I am wondering if your Durish family goes back to Domat Ems, Canton Graubünden, Switzerland.
   I am researching a Durish family history....sometimes spelled Durisch.
     Hoping to hear from you.

So great to see the Durish family pictures and videos of Tim. I will always remember him when I think of Kapikog lake, a place he truly loved.  Our family had a cottage across the lake and Tim and my younger brother, who  were the the same age, soon became lifelong pals.  Tim became a great friend of our family over the years and there were some great times  that we all shared. Ill remember him as a lover of the outdoors and especially Kapikog.  Our condolences from the Smith family.

I was sorry to hear that cousin Tim had passed. Though our lives took different paths with many years apart I can still see him on the other end of a teeter totter with his beautiful blonde curls. I also remember Aunt Sheila and the little dog Shnooks  . It's a hard journey to loose a loved one , time will help the ache heal.

Tim and I have been friends for many years, we know each other from our time up at the lake … a place Tim had a huge passion for.  Tim called me a few times over this past winter and although a few memories may have faded, he still talked non-stop about his boat, his snowmobile rides and his guitar … he missed playing and was hoping to take it up again.  I was so sorry to hear about losing Tim.  I’ll remember those talks and all of the good times we shared on Kapikog Lake.

I met Tim many years ago up at the cottage sitting by the lake  sharing a beer and enjoyed his company.  A nice quiet kind gentleman from a nice quiet kind family who have my thoughts at this sad time. 

Sorry to hear about the passing of my cousin Tim.May he find peace and may God have mercy upon him.

We are very saddened to hear this news and we are thinking of Tim's family and friends at this time.     We do have a memory of Tim to share.  We are cottagers on Kapikog Lake and when we purchased this cottage in 1999 we were told the story of the huge driftwood tree root that sat at the water's edge of this property.    Apparently Tim was involved in his younger years - with the placement of our driftwood.   He and others were dragging it home to Tim's as a keeper.   But the motor boat these young fellows were using did not have the power needed to drag this huge waterlogged item back to the Durish cottage.   They landed it on this land temporarily until these boys figured out another way to get it over to the other side of this lake - onto the Durish property.   It's still here......   A memory for us of Tim Durish.   Peter and Sandra Jones
