He was a dear father to Stephen (spouse Gabriella), Sonstar Carlisle (spouse Wonder), Michelle (spouse John-Anthony), Nicole (predeceased), Rochelle (spouse Patrick) & Rachael.
Cherished Grandfather to Natasha, Duane, Zoe, Taurean, Y’shua, Charity, Destiny, Moses, Sakele, Nicholas, Daystar, Brianna, Christian, Seraphim & Teyhani. Vance will be missed by his loving sisters Dorothy and Gloria. He was predeceased by his sister Marjorie and brother George and will be fondly remembered by his, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Vance lived a rich life, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. His enduring commitment to family, seen in his 67-year marriage to Greta and his role as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, defined him.
During his 40-year career as a Fleet Coordinator at Brenntag Inc., Vance demonstrated dedication and professionalism. His passions for fishing, photography, gardening, and painting reflected his vibrant spirit. Moving from Barbados to Canada in 1969 marked the start of a new chapter. Despite life's challenges, Vance remained resilient and determined.
As loved ones gather to honor Vance's memory, they'll find solace in sharing stories of his impact. Though he's gone, his legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all those who knew him.
A visitation for Vance will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 4pm-8pm at Andrews Community Funeral Centre, 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton, Ontario. A funeral service will take place Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11am in the chapel of the funeral home. Visitation 1 hour prior to service.
