GESCHWENDER, Alaina Ann was welcomed into God’s arms in heaven on October 28 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a bright and vivacious 3 year old who loved dresses and shoes and dressing up like a princess. Alaina enjoyed the water and swimming; taking pictures of herself (“selfies”) and others; and of course playing games on the phone. She was predeceased by her uncle, Dustin Kyle Anthony Goodwin and great grandparents, Charles Goodwin and Barbara Faircloth. She leaves behind her parents, John Geschwender and Brittani Stubbs; siblings, Jalissa Lynn and Logan Kyle Prime Geschwender; grandparents, Randolph Combs, Terri Geschwender, Matthew Stubbs and Stephanie Lacey; great grandparents, Bob and Connie Stubbs; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends. Visitation hours will be held 11 am to 1 pm Monday, November 3 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon with a celebration of life service to follow at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to any children’s cancer fund in memory of Alaina. Alaina will be forever missed, but will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of her family and friends. “God’s Gift, Our Blessing”
