Alonso R Neri

Alonso Ramon Neri, age 9, departed this earth on September 22, 2020, at Shands Children’s Hospital in Gainesville, FL. Alonso was born on January 11, 2011, to parents Jessica Marie Puente and Ramon Neri.

Alonso was a lively, outgoing, and loving child. Alonso was known by his friends and family to be intelligent, funny and charismatic.

As a student at Cypress Creek Elementary, he was instantly loved by any person who had the opportunity and honor of crossing paths with Alonso. A quick witted young boy, he would always make up his own jokes and would share them with everyone just to see and hear them laugh. He loved playing games with his closest friends and family members. At such a young age, Alonso knew of and wanted the experience of family time, he would always suggest games, movies and other activities such as bowling to be done on certain days of the week as he was particularly a routine and schedule oriented person. Always immersed in his personal joys, Alonso would have a vast and extensive knowledge of every toy he had or from a character from one of his shows and would be very excited to share it.

Alonso is survived by his parents, Jessica and Ramon; his sister Alina Neri; his maternal grandparents, Cleotilde Maria Guerrero and Robert Puente; his uncles, Daniel, Joe and Robert Puente Jr.

Services will take place at Hillsboro Memorial in Brandon, FL on October 1, 2020 from 11:00-3:00 pm. All are invited. Flowers and donations are accepted in Alonso’s honor.
