COKER, Alverta “Bert”, 83, passed away on October 1, 2012. Bert retired from Publix after 32 years. She had mastered all aspects of the deli, was a favorite of customers, and was loved and respected by her Publix family. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest. Alverta is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Capps; son Dale Burgess; grandchildren, Matt LaRue (Andrea Delones), Melissa White, Thomas Capps; great -grandchildren, Austin and Hayley White, Scott and Sydney LaRue, and also Chelbi, Alex, and Dakota. A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Thursday, October 4, 2012, with a funeral service held 2 p.m., Friday October 5, 2012 at Stowers Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
