Andy was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and carried his roots with him throughout his life. He built a long and dedicated career as an Executive Assistant Manager with Walgreens, where he was known for his strong work ethic, intelligence, and reliability.
Andy was preceded in death by his father, Charles “Charlie” Edmond Johnson, who passed in June 2003. He is survived by his beloved mother, Shirley Jean Johnson; his devoted wife, Barbara Jean Johnson; his daughters, Holly Ann Johnson and Andrea Marie Johnson; and his son, William Charles Johnson, all of whom he adored deeply.
A devoted husband and father, Andy was loving, present, and endlessly supportive of his children. He was funny, silly, kind, and smart, with a great sense of humor that brought laughter to those around him. He loved 70s and 80s rock music, football—especially the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers—wrestling, and classic sitcoms, always enjoying a good laugh or a game well played. Above all else, Andy cherished his family and showed his love through his actions every single day.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date. The time, date, and location will be shared privately, and family members and friends will be personally contacted.
Messages, calls, and donations to the family are greatly appreciated but not required. Please feel free to reach out to the family if you wish.
Andy’s love, humor, and devotion will live on through those who were lucky enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
“God gave rock and roll to you, gave rock and roll to you.
Put it in the soul of everyone.”
