GOODSON, Bettie Mae of Tampa, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. She loved working outdoors in her yard, going to the casino with family and friends, playing cards, and jigsaw puzzles. She worked at Quality Meat Market for over 25 years altogether. She also worked at Dickey’s Potato Chips, Standard Aluminum, Treasure Isle Seafood and Cuesta Rey cigars, just to name a few. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Riley “R. G.” and her parents, Vera and Regnole Smith, survived by her son, Carron Bailey; daughter in law, Toni; and grandchildren, Amanda, Ross and Eryn; brothers, William Thomas, and David Lee Smith; and sisters, Iris Alderman and Revia Whatley. Viewing and visitation will be Monday, April 3, from 6 pm until 8 pm at Stowers Funeral Home, Brandon Florida. Funeral will be Tuesday, April 4, at 10 am followed by internment at Thontosassa Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her name to LifePath Hospice of Tampa Bay.
