Darren was born on March 28, 1982 at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital, Amsterdam, New York to parents Michael K. Wells and Mary Komorny Wells of Johnstown, New York. Throughout childhood and teen years he was an outstanding player in baseball, basketball, football and golf. He excelled in Math and Computer Skills.
After graduation from Broadalbin-Perth High School in 2000 Darren attended Fulton Montgomery Community College. When he relocated to Seffner/Brandon Florida with his family in 2003 he attended the River Bible Institute. Over the years he worked at Apac Customer Service, Hillsborough Juvenile Detention Center and recently Spectrum Customer Service where he was well-liked at each.
He is survived by his parents, his brothers Michael E. Wells and Paul L DiGiacomo, sister Alana DiGiacomo, nephews Paul and Anthony DiGiacomo, nieces Kayla Ketcham and Hayley Hodges, two great nieces and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Darren was greatly loved by his family and friends for being caring, fun-loving, respectful, repentant, loving, strong, protective, helpful, truthful, forgiving and sharing the Gospel. He is forever thanked for his desire that other people be happy and know the peace of knowing they have eternal life by calling on the name of the Lord. He is and will be greatly missed.
Burial will be at Limona Cemetery, Brandon, 10:00 A.M. Thursday June 17 and a Celebration of Life at Beit Tehila Church, Lithia Pinecrest, Brandon, 7 P.M.
