Born on June 1, 1949, Diane’s life was defined by devotion to her faith, her family, and the countless lives she touched as a teacher and friend. She was the proud and loving mother of eight children, and being a mother was not just something she did. It was who she was. Her children were her world, her greatest joy, and her life’s purpose.
Diane was a gifted teacher who could hold a classroom of students spellbound with her storytelling, expressive voice, and warmth. She had a rare ability to make people feel seen, valued, and important. She gave endlessly and quietly, offering her time, encouragement, wisdom, and prayers without ever asking for recognition or anything in return. Her kindness was steady. Her love was unconditional. Her faith was unwavering.
She lived her beliefs daily in the way she encouraged others, in the way she prayed faithfully, and in the way she gave without hesitation. She found joy in the simple things that brought people together. She loved cheering for her beloved Tampa Bay Rays, watching a favorite Hallmark movie, and carefully choosing Christmas ornaments each year to represent her eight children, writing their names as a reminder that her greatest blessings were the family God gave her.
Diane’s legacy lives on through her eight children, her grandchildren, her extended family, her dear friends, and the many students whose lives she shaped. She leaves behind a family who will forever carry her voice, her lessons, her traditions, and her love in their hearts.
Though we are heartbroken by her passing, we are grateful for every story, every hug, every journal page, every Christmas memory, and every moment we were blessed to call her Mom.
She carried faith so beautifully on earth, and now she carries it in eternity
