Donald's greatest passion in life was his horses. He and Hammer were well known in the local community and he was a many time barrel racing champion. His very last outing was to the local rodeo just a week prior to his passing. He lived and breathed this passion to the very end.
Donald would not want you to be sad in his passing, but happy in celebrating the long and fulfilling life he lived. Reliving the fond memories of him and rejoicing in his presence in Heaven.
Donald is survived by many who loved him including his children Jacquelyn Strait, Constance Strait, Donna Strait Walker , Donald Strait, and Tonya Hatmaker, 11 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and close friends. In addition to his parents he was precedeed in death by his five siblings.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 15 2021, at Hillsborough Memorial Gardens, 2323 W. Brandon Blvd., Brandon, Florida 33511.
Private family visitation will be from 9:30am-10:00am. Donald will then take his last ride via horse and carriage to a public graveside service at 10:00am.
