

A devoted Christian Mother and Wife has been called to be with the Lord. Doris Marie Simmons Law, age 77 of Seffner, FL passed away at Brandon Hospital on February 27, 2022. Doris was born in Crestview, FL on November 15, 1944, to Dorothy and Jefferson Cody Simmons. Doris had three brothers William (Bill) Simmons, JC Simmons and Nathan Simmons.
Doris is survived by her loving husband Seely Thomas Law of 37 years. As well as her children, David Lee Rathel (Mary Ann) of Webster, FL, Ricky Lynn Rathel-Marshall of Altha, FL, Candy Annette Roque of Riverview, FL, and Seely Thomas Law, Jr. (Chrystal) of Plant City, FL.
Doris loved her grandchildren very much, including Candida Lynn Hagler-Weintraub (Paul), Timothy Paul Roque (Kim), Anthony Macho Roque (Ariel), Tyler Thomas Law, David Lee Rathel, Jr and Krystal Rader. Doris also was blessed and cherished each and every one of her great grandchildren, Andrew Roque, Lily Roque, Liam Weintraub, Augie Roque, Talon Weintraub, Greyson Roque, Waylon Weintraub and Hudson Weintraub.
Doris was the sweetest, most, selfless heartwarming person. She touched every single life she came across in the most positive caring genuine way. Doris supported everyone that came across her life from cheering on her husband and daughter at a local disc golf tournament or volunteering in the church nursery or greeting new visitors, or to fill eggs at her churches Sunday easter service. Doris never turned down an opportunity to celebrate her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She made sure to attend every game, award show, and school graduation. Doris had a passion for traveling and exploring across the world by plane, cruise, and RV. Doris and her husband made sure to create lasting memories by always taking lots of photos and bringing back special souvenirs. Doris had a way about her that always allowed her to find the hidden adventure in every wrong turn or missed exit sign. Doris was an absolute Angel, she always puts others first and always had a kind word for everyone she meets. Her positivity was infectious and inspired so many of those around her. Doris was a woman of God and made sure to touch as many lives as she could with her faith. She loved to extend an invitation to her friends and family to accompany her in the celebration of the Lord. Doris never let anything stand in her way when it came to being there for the ones she loved. She was an amazing woman who will always be cherished and sincerely missed.
A "Celebration of Life" service will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Brandon Chapel, 2909 John Moore Rd, Brandon, FL 33511 at 6:30pm.
