

McCloud, Ernest L., 54, of Plant City, entered into rest Wednesday, November 21, 2012. He was the fourth child of the late Jacob and Marie (Curry) McCloud. He was born and raised in Patterson, NJ until the age of 12. He then moved to the Bealsville Community to live with his grandmother, the late Viola Green. He graduated from Plant City High School in 1976 before joining the U.S. Air Force in 1977. He completed basic training and later graduated with honors from technical schools in the field of carpentry, masonry, and heavy equipment. He soon found an interest in architecture and engineering and continued his education at the University of Maryland, North Carolina State, and the community college of the Air Force. He received his Associates degree in building construction and business management. He was involved with numerous programs and organizations, several of which involved bettering the community. He was co-editor of the Bealsville Bulletin; a member of the Masons; and organized “Teens for Hope,” a program designed to help and educate kids. However, his greatest passion in life was his family. He leaves behind a loving wife, Jackie McCloud; their children, Tyrisha and Coradata McCloud; oldest daughter, Tequila Brown (Earl); sons, Jermaine and Shad McCloud; six grandchildren, Jakieria, Kalieel, Zachary, Caleb, Noah and Jamir; five brothers, Henry McCloud (Linda), Sylvester McCloud (Jeanette), Ricky Wiggs (Carla), Jimmy Black (Deon), Andre McCloud; and one sister Cheryl Golden (Roger).The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, November 30 and a memorial service will follow on Saturday, December 1 at 2:00 PM. All services will be held at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home in Brandon, FL.
