Janice was born in West Haven, Connecticut on February 24, 1943, to Marie and Manuel Perry. She attended the University of New Haven where she received her master’s degree in education, as well as the University of South Florida where she was awarded a specialist degree for Special Education. Janice worked more than 20 years as a special education teacher before she retired. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren grow, and on occasion sneaking them powdered donuts and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Her family was her world, and she was ours.
She is survived by her daughters, Tracey Comlish, Amanda Johnson; stepchildren, Jen, Cori Arthur, Darryl; and grandchildren, Tristan, Monica, Meghan, Kellen, Noah, Micky, Jason, Nick, and Marcy.
Her celebration of life will be held on February 24th, 2025, at her daughter Tracey’s home in Valrico.
Memorial contributions may be made in Janice’s name to the SPCALA to support their California wildfire animal relief efforts. https://spcala.com/donate/donation-information/
