McLain, Joan, 83 of Brandon passed away on January 2, 2017. She was born on May 3, 1933 and moved to Brandon in 1965. She was a long time member of First Hope United Methodist Church. She loved orchids and was the past President of the Tampa Bay Orchid Society. She was predeceased by her loving husband, William “Bill” McLain. She is survived by her sons, Alan “Bugs” and John “Q-Ball” McLain, and daughters Peggy Lane “Sweetie” and Joni Epperson “Pitter”. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. A visitation will be held at Stowers Funeral Home, Friday, January 06, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. and a funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at New Hope United Methodist Church, Brandon, FL beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a graveside committal following at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
