Joanne Marie Bernard

November 18, 1974- April 17, 2022

Joanne Straka Bernard went to be with our Lord on Easter Sunday April 17, 2022 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Joanne is survived by her three children, Julia Yeast, Michelle Bernard, and Joseph Bernard; her father, Robert Straka SR; her brother, Robert Straka JR (Tera); her nephews, Ian Straka (Chelsea) and Jacob Straka; as well as many loving aunt, uncles, and cousins. Joanne was preceded in death by her mother, Diane Straka; her son, Michael Bernard; her grandparents, Milton and Marjorie Zeeb, and Augustine and Beatrice Straka; and her first husband, Sean Yeast. Originally from Fairless Hills, PA; Joanne graduated from Pennsbury High School and went on to attend Everest University. She later moved to Florida to raise her children in the sunshine state.

Joanne was a fierce warrior that fought the ugly disease we know as cancer for a decade. However, her disease did not define her. What defined her was love. First and foremost, her love for her kids. Joanne was a dedicated mother to her three children. They were the light of her life! Joanne loved her job as a senior clinical administrator at United Healthcare as well. She was a hard worker that took pride in her job. Joanne also loved animals, big and small. Her dog, Helia, held a special place in her heart! Joanne also loved her friends, all things Disney, and NKOTB. We choose to remember the love that Joanne brought to this world and hold it in our hearts until we meet again.
