Joe R. White, lovingly known as “Joey,” was born on February 14, 1956, in Bartow, Florida, and passed away peacefully at his home in Bradenton, Florida, on July 18, 2025. He was 69 years old.
Joey proudly served in the United States Army from 1974 to 1980, dedicating six years of his life to serving his country with honor. After his military service, he worked as an electronics sales associate, where he was known for his helpful nature, product knowledge, and friendly smile.
He is survived by his loving mother, Evelyn Hughes; his brothers, Scott White (Nan) and Tim White (Robyn); his sister, Ann Robinson; and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Joey was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Carolyn, and his brother Stephen White, both of whom he held close in his heart.
Joey had a passion for painting and found peace in fishing—two hobbies that reflected his creative soul and love for the outdoors. He also loved to laugh, and his sense of humor brought joy and warmth to everyone around him. One of his favorite things to do was cook crab rolls, a dish he made with love and shared with family and friends.
He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, quiet strength, and the deep love he had for his family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Joey’s life.
