Lee Scott Turner, 69, passed away May 11, 2015. He served proudly in the United States Army and retired from MacDill Air Force Base after 26years as a Chief Warrant Officer 4. During his distinguished military career he was attached to the attaché office of the US Embassy in Santiago, Chile and Quito, Ecuador. Preceded in death by his father Gerald and grandparents John and Christina Klumbach, Lee is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Mary "Kathy"; his loving son Wayne and his wife Melissa, his mother Elizabeth Turner; brothers Dana and Scott and two cherished grandchildren Ireland Grey and Campbell Grace. Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday May 16th 2-4pm at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 W. Brandon Blvd., Brandon. Interment will be at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Goldsboro, NC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lee's name to the Wounded Warriors or a disabled veteran’s organization of your choice.
