Lucille T. Powell

Lucille T.Powell, a resident of Anderson, South Carolina and formerly of Jacksonville and Brandon, Florida, wife of the late William Robert Powell, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 26th, 2011.

She was a long-time member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon and most recently attended New Prospect Baptist Church in Anderson. A southern lady in the truest sense, her strength, unwavering faith, lively spirit and loving ways act as an enduring testimony and remembrance to all the friends and family whose lives she graced.

Among her survivors are a daughter, Bobbie Jean Taylor (Robert Taylor), grandchildren Dana Richards (Thomas Richards) of Anderson, Brad Colvin (Kim Colvin) of Brandon, Amy Johnson (Eddie Johnson) of Statesville, NC and Shawn Delavan (Elaine Delavan) of Brandon, great-grandchildren Lindsey, Jasmine and Cailtin Delavan, Chris Jones, Kelsee Colvin, Cody Dixon, Sean and Tim Supernant, Devan Richards and Brittany and Justin Taylor. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janis P. Colvin (living husband Tim Colvin) three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 30th, in the Chapel of Palms at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens in Brandon, Florida. The family will receive friends at the Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday, May 29th. Flowers will be accepted.
