
Mark was born in Passaic, New Jersey, the third child of Vincent James Santillo and Florence (Riccobono) Santillo. He is survived by his wife, Marybeth Hails Santillo, of Panama City Beach; three siblings, Vincent J. Santillo, Jr. (Angie) of Dover, Florida; Diane S. Jones; (Walter W.,Jr.) of Canandaigua, New York and Joy Santillo, of Panama City Beach , Florida; five children, Dominic (Beth) Santillo, of Eastampton, New Jersey, Nicholas (Jill) Santillo, of Emerson, New Jersey; Veronica Santillo of Hillsdale, New Jersey; Jessica(David) Badger, of Newark, Delaware and Nathaniel (Shawna) Lamb, of Tampa Florida; 6 grandchildren, Dominic, Kaitlyn, David, Francesca, Alexander Santillo, and Rosalind Badger; nephews James Santillo III, of Woodland Park New Jersey; Cameron Jones, of Canandaigua, New York; Halo Santillo Bontly of Las Vegas; Charlotte (Adam) Siegel of Boise, Idaho; and Caitlin (Preston)Waller of Nashville, Tennessee; and many extended relatives.
He was predeceased by his parents, Vincent and Florence Santillo, and his grandparents , Dominic and Josephine Riccobono.
Mark grew up in Totowa, New Jersey, enjoying an idyllic childhood which included his best friend, Rob, the Yankees, rock concerts, Budd Lake and the Jersey Shore, and surviving Woodstock. Mark joined the Navy after graduating high school, served six years specializing in electronic communication, including time on the USS Damato and in London where his first son was born. He returned home to Garfield, New Jersey, surrounded by family and Pop Warner Football, moved to Florida, eventually retiring in Panama City Beach.
Service to follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida, Monday, July 24th,2023 at 10AM. The family requests in lieu of flowers please make a donation to The Salvation Army or your favorite charity.
