

Mildred is survived by her son Dusty Lillard of Tampa, daughter Sandy Humphreys and her husband Bill of New Port Richey, grandson Jason Lillard and his wife Erin of Lakeland, great grandchildren Zoie, Hannah, Dominick and Bryce and niece April Lunsford of Brandon. She is preceded in death by her parents Clyde K.& B.Thelma Illgen, her husband Charles L. Lillard Jr. and brother Richard W. Illgen.
Mildred was born June 18, 1928 and graduated from Brandon High School. She married Charlie in 1947 after he returned from the Navy in WWII and they began their life together in Palm River where they resided until his death in 2002.
Mildred loved teaching and creating ceramic pieces, bowling with her buddies and doing crossword puzzles. She loved animals and always had at least one or two dogs. She had a soft heart and generously supported any animal charity that needed help. She was very involved in her church and volunteered her time, talent and finances to any cause they requested. She was beloved by neighbors, and they appreciated her spunk and sass even in her later years.
A visitation for Mildred will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mildred’s life. The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at Aldea Green Assisted Living Facility and Accent Care Hospice for their support and guidance during this difficult time.
