

Nancy Rosemary (Scardo) DeSerio passed away peacefully on October 8, 2017, at 90 years of age at her Brookdale residence, Brandon, Florida. Her witty, spunky personality was a delight to everyone. Whether hosting parties for family or friends with her Italian cooking, creating costumes for line dancing, hospital gift cart visits at BRH, or Ambassador at the Y Zumba and her ALF, she was an inspiration and joy to all. Her family tradition of Friday homemade pizza, and Sunday suppers with Scrabble games helped keep family ties close. Though born in Oakland, N.J. the youngest of 7, she moved to Titusville, Florida to support her husband Ed’s exciting engineering career at the start of the Space Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Gregory DeSerio, happily married 56 years. She is survived by 2 sons Alan Edward DeSerio and Gary William DeSerio, 3 grandsons, Michael Alan DeSerio, David Edward DeSerio, Joel Samuel DeSerio and one granddaughter Gina Francesca DeSerio, She has 4 great grandchildren Grace Carolina DeSerio, Maple Joy DeSerio, Atticus Edward DeSerio, and Olive Lane DeSerio.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Nativity Catholic Church on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. The family will have a visitation following the Mass at 1:00 p.m., and a service at 2:00 p.m., both at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 W Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL
