Peter Ronald North, 71 was embraced by our Heavenly Father on October 24, 2014. Pete always had a smile on his face and kind words despite his 7 year battle with endocrine cancer. He was born in New Jersey but made his final resting place in the Tampa Bay Area after he transferred with Verizon as a Systems Analyst from Westfield, New York in 1979. Anyone that knew Pete could attest that he made the best brownies, liked to golf at Buckhorn Country Club and enjoyed his retirement job as a security officer at Brandon Regional Hospital. Most of all, he adored his wife, Rita Jo; his daughter Denise Flanagan,her spouse Steve; Son, Scott North his spouse Michele and grandchildren: Laura, Alexander, Megan, Ella Grace; his sister and brother in law, Marlene and James Wright; nieces and nephew, Jennifer, Rachel and Jonathan Wright. Pete never met a stranger that didn't become a friend. This was made evident by the out pouring of love and adoration his family has received recently. We are comforted that he is no longer in pain and he is smiling down upon us now from heaven. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. A celebration of a life well lived will be at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home in Brandon on Tuesday, October 28 at 2:00 p.m.
