
Ingram, Priscilla Blackington, 83, of Tampa, Florida passed away on January 3, 2012 at her residence after a period of failing health. She was born in Keene, NH on May 25, 1928 the daughter of Frank H. Blackington Jr. and Dora Hayward Blackington. Priscilla graduated from Keene High School in 1946 and in 1950 received a Bachelor of Education Degree from Keene State College. She was a teacher of English in West Lebanon, NH, Brattleboro, VT, and Canton, Connecticut. After moving to Tampa she taught for 31 years in the Tampa School System. On October 26, 1957 Priscilla and Lester Ingram were married at the United Church in Keene, and they celebrated 42 years of marriage. Lester passed away in 1999. Priscilla`s interests were varied, but she especially enjoyed music and as a young person had sung in several choral groups. Writing was also a strong interest. A favorite pastime was letter-writing. She showed a definite skill for excellent expression in her letters. She and Lester enjoyed taking many cruises and made friends on all of the journeys. Priscilla was a true friend, had a spirit of courage and was always willing to help others. Her family and friends will cherish her memory. She will be greatly missed by her friends at John Knox Village, her residence in Tampa, where she was known and loved for her charm and wit. Survivors are a twin brother Dr.Frank H. Blackington and his wife Rosella, a niece Deborah Blackington and her children Brynne and Grace all of Duxbury, MA, also a nephew Bradley Blackington and his family. Spring burial will be in Guilford, VT Cemetery. Time will be announced later. Ker-Westerlund Funeral Home of Brattleboro, VT is assisting with arrangements.
